Causality of Hierarchical Variable Length Representations
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper the strong causality of program tree representations is considered. A quantitative, probabilis-tic causality measure is used in contrast to statistical tness landscape analysis methods. Although it fails to rank diierent problems according to their diiculty, it is helpful to choose the right coding for a given task. The investigation utilizes a metric on the search space called tree edit distance. Diierent ways to deene such a measure are discussed.

Mulla Sadra and Hume on Comparative Analyzing of Causality
One of the most important causes for comparative studying on philosophical systems is to find their commonalities for responding common questions and to emphasize on their differences for taking functional answers encountering modern philosophical challenges and problems. Here, causality is chosen as the case study. Causality is of the basic philosophical issues that have been continually consi...
متن کاملHierarchical Text Generation and Planning for Strategic Dialogue
End-to-end models for strategic dialogue are challenging to train, because linguistic and strategic aspects are entangled in latent state vectors. We introduce an approach to generating latent representations of dialogue moves, by inducing sentence representations to maximize the likelihood of subsequent sentences and actions. The effect is to decouple much of the semantics of the utterance fro...
متن کاملVariable Length Genomes for Evolutionary Algorithms
A general variable length genome, called exG, is developed here to address the problems of fixed length representations in canonical evolutionary algorithms. Convergence aspects of exG are discussed and preliminary results of exG usage are presented. The generality of this variable legnth genome is also shown via comparisons with other variable length representations.
متن کاملUsing Simple Recurrent Networks to Learn Fixed-Length Representations of Variable-Length Strings
Four connectionist models are reported that learn static representations of variable-length strings using a novel autosequencer architecture. These representations were learned as plans for a simple recurrent network to regenerate a given input sequence. Results showed that the autosequencer can be used to address the dispersion problem because the positions and identities of letters in a strin...
متن کاملNarrative Representations and Causality in Character-Based Interactive Storytelling
In this paper we describe a fully implemented prototype for interactive storytelling using the UnrealTM engine. Using a sit-com like scenario as an example of how the dynamic interactions between characters and/or the user dramatise the emerging story. We present how all possible narrative variations are formalised using Hierarchical Task Networks. However, within interactive narrative represen...
